Oslo Walking Tour: More Attractions

Another majestic building in Oslo is The Parliament Building, built in 1866.

Close to the Parliament Building is The Grand Hotel. This Hotel is considered to be the safest place in Norway to stay. Windows were replaced with bullet-proof glass for Barack Obama's stay when he was in town to accept the Nobel Peace Prize. It is a grand hotel!!

The Palace where the King and Queen reside.

Lovely buildings in the Parliament and Palace area.

The National Theater.

City Hall: A very interesting building, architecturally, with wood carvings that go all around the back perimeter of the building, telling of Norwegian Folklore. This building is full of galleries and other great things to see. We plan to come back to spend time inside.

The front of the building.

Zero Kilometer Marker in front of City Hall: The distance from which distance is measured to other locations.

Nobel Peace Prize Building. Another place to explore and see exhibits from past winners.
